What are your opening hours?
Both branches, in Accra (Teshie) and Kumasi (Amakom), are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Do I need savings before applying?
No. No prior savings are required.
Do I need to know someone at NDL?
No. Every application is treated the same way: assessment, verification and credit review.
What documents do I need?
It depends on your customer type. All applicants need a Ghana Card, 2 passport photos, a utility bill or digital address, proof of income and guarantors. See the Requirements centre.
Does every loan require collateral?
Collateral and guarantor requirements depend on the loan amount and your profile. Auto loans need vehicle documents and union endorsement.
Why does NDL do an assessment?
Our officers visit your home and business or workplace to understand your situation. It helps ensure you borrow an amount you can repay.
How long does approval take?
Once approved, funds are disbursed within 3 working days. Total time depends on how quickly assessment and documents are completed.
Can I apply from outside Accra or Kumasi?
We currently operate from branches in Accra (Teshie) and Kumasi (Amakom). Your area must be within our operational zones, so contact a branch to confirm, for example if you live in Spintex.
Can I apply if I already have another loan?
You can ask. We carry out credit checks and consider your existing obligations in the review, so be honest about them during assessment.
What does a loan cost?
Interest is 20% (3-month flat) or 6.5% monthly. Any other charges are explained to you before you sign your loan offer letter. Use the calculator for an estimate.
When does repayment start?
Your repayment schedule is set out in your loan offer letter, which you sign before disbursement.
How do I know my payment has been received?
You get an SMS confirmation and your passbook is updated. If it doesn't reflect, tell us.
Is NDL licensed?
Yes. NDL Micro-Credit is a registered, licensed micro-credit institution regulated by the Bank of Ghana.
Will NDL ask me to pay to get a loan released?
No. Only pay through official NDL channels and report anyone asking otherwise. See Trust & Security.
